Soup tips that have worked for me

* Add a few handfuls of chopped mushrooms
* About a cup of chopped green beans are nice
* Some recipes miss out the cabbage but get you to use the leaves of the celery. Cabbage is MUCH nicer.
* Consider substituting some (or all) of the normal cabbage for red cabbage
* Herbs and spices are your friend!
* Try puréeing & straining soup for a change
* A squeeze of lemon juice in the bowl really livens things up

Hi Katheros, For someone like myself who cook only because it is a necessity, and not really enjoy doing it, getting tips such as this is totally AWESOME. I mean cabbage is cabbage,
RIGHT, red or green why not mix it up, and the Lemon juice how brilliant is that. I have added fresh Green Beans to my Soup before and it was really great, and I normally blend my Soup. THANK YOU, THANK YOU.. Speaking for myself, and I am certain others appreciate these tips. :cheers:

TRINI: You're welcome :-) I was just so happy about how much nicer the lemon made things I felt I had to share it with the world ;-)

helenann: I'm doing great thanks :-) This is the third time I've tried this diet but the first time I've really been able to stick with it. I think what helped was I did the lemon detox for 5 days beforehand (I tried to go clothes shopping for the first time in ages you see :star: ) Getting to do a diet with variation (not to mention actually eating) has been comparative heaven
