Trini,
Get better first
.
Next week is the week before Thanksgiving. Your body will need more than CSD if you are feeling better. I am shooting for the week after Thanksgiving. I am going to try to control myself...I will have some oyster dressing though.

:topic: I will get back to you about the exact name of the other forum. It is a very busy one too. I did not sign up yet. To post you have to but not to read. Wow if they are different then there are 2 really active "A" forums.

Trini,
Did you join yet or are you just reading. Let me know yours when you can.

Just noticed it is Friday the 13th.

Vegetables are on my agenda for the day.

I will be checking back since I am home cleaning and packing up a lot of the Fall party serving plates/platters/bowls...Visiting Mr. Wii

I have a wedding to go to this weekend. Should be fun. Don't know what I am going to wear. :hmm: May have to buy a new dress.

Hi girls just realized that another week has gone by and I haven't been on here...tsk tsk tsk
I have been so busy this past week as we are putting up a new shop and we are actively involved with the process as a matter of fact we are painting the ceiling today wish me luck as i am scared of heights and it is 20" high :crybaby2: :$: :$:
I am also sidetracked as I have to leave on Monday eve for my surgery and I am a little bit apprehensive so wish me luck and I will post you when I return on the 19th, if I can see my computer as I am having double blephroplasty (upper and lower )surgery to correct my previous two surgery's - Bilateral Orbital decompression and Strabimus I have/had Graves Disease a little bit of my history.

Angela I am glad to hear your party went well that sounds like a gathering we have here although we tend to be a little smaller around 10 - 14 couples we were just discussing having a "Dress up Party" during the Christmas holidays as we never seem to get out to funtions like that normally, so if that happens maybe we can post as well and have a "find me if you can pic", it would be kinda fun as I am sure we all have a visual of each other. I know I do it regularly with clients of ours that I talk to on the phone all the time and it is always interesting to finally see or meet them in person. :D :D

Trini I worry about you all alone there I hope you have someone checking on you regularly other than us keeping you healthy if only in words of encouragement and well wishes.
Just so you both know I am still maintaing with Low GI foods and I am done to 170 lbs I am so excited as my goal was to be 169 by Thursday I can actually see it in my mind hopefully I can see it on my scale. Great talking to you guys again it keeps me on track and if I don't have a chance before I leave I will talk to you again at the end of the week...Stay focused and everything seems clear....Bye for now !!!

Hey Kelley,
Good luck with the surgery and safe traveling. Congrats on the new store. Sound like you had a lot to accomplish.

Trini,
I am really glad to hear that your are feeling better. I was going to have to get tough with you and insist on a visit to the Dr..
I know the sites are too different. It is amazing how our minds are wired. I haven't really figured out the sites yet. I have just basically reading the info presented by the site moderators. They both seem to have a lot of info and dialogue. They both tell alot about each phase of A. At this point I am familiarizing myself with the Induction phase.

Is anyone up for a round of CSD the week after Thanksgiving? That will probably be my last until after Christmas when I start A.

The wedding was great fun and the location was unusual. It was at a very modern/neon art gallery.

All for now. Good luck to all the dieting Divas!

Hi Trini,
Hello!! :D I visit the other site MiniMins.com and it is simply awesome. I caught some new ideas which I hope to implement soon. I registered but I have not started posting yet. I buy your point of creating space on this forum for "other diet expiriences". We should have a pool of ideas to empower us and all other guests. Peronally this forum merits all the credit I have for my success so far. Please set this idea in motion.

Hi guys, it's me, Maximus.

Sorry I haven't been around in quite some time. I've wondered how all you have been doing. I've been dealing with a lot with my back and also had some stuff going on with the computer. Didn't really have time to deal with it.

I read some of your more recent posts to try to get caught up. Sounds like everyone is doing pretty well. Sorry to hear you were so sick Trini. My son is just recovering from a nasty cold/flu and he does not have medical insurance either so I was playing nurse for a little while. He really loved the tea with honey. Angela, glad to hear you are still wii'ing lol and that you came through Ida ok. There are several new people since I was last on here, I need to read back a little further to get to know everyone.

Just to recap where I left off. I started at 148 and very out of shape, that was back in June/July I believe. I got down to 134 and was maintaining within a few lbs. Today I started CSD again for the first time in a while. The scale said 137 this am. I was a little flustered with that and didn't understand. But then a little bit later I had my answer. My period!!! I hate that I gain that much during this time. Since I already made a big pot of soup and stocked up with fruit & vegi's I'm going to go ahead with it. I also have a partner joining me. My husband wants to attempt it again. He only lasted three days when he tried it with me in July, but he lost 6 lbs in those three days. The weather has been extremely cold, -5 to 10 above. I tried budling up real well and heading out for my walk/hike a few times in this but it's just toooooo cold and all my really good cold weather gear is up at my cabin. I have tried to keep up with my low impact work outs with weights though. Just discovered that in addition to the problems of my lower back I also have two bulging disks in my neck. One is pinching the nerve to my left arm and the other is pushing on the spinal cord blocking the spinal fluid from flowing properly. I'm scheduled for an injection in my neck on Thursday this week, hoping for the best results on that. So I try to keep the work outs pretty low impact which has been kind of hard to improve my fitness, slow process but gonna keep trying.

Well, I have to venture out in the 2 degree weather and go run some errands.

I will check back to post my progress. Hope to hear from ya'll again.

Hey Maximus,
We wondered what happened to you. Sorry about your back and now the discovery with your neck. Glad to have you back. Trini, I and I am sure others will being doing CSD the week after Thanksgiving. Good luck this week. It sounds corny but I was happy when I saw your "name". Speaking of that....how is the pup?

Well I weighed in this morning after being off CSD for a little over a month at 140.2. That is still almost a 25 lb. loss since the last week of July. After my weeks of debauchery, I was actually fairly pleased. I am still aiming for 125 lbs. We shall see.

For all the curious minds, this is the link to where the wedding was that I went to this weekend. http://www.venusiangardens.com/ Very different I must say. The wedding was fun. Of course the food was just as different as the locale. It was not your typical fare. I was also one of the oldest people there with the exception of a couple of relatives. I must say I did well with the eating but not with the wine(hubby was the dd that night).

Trini,
I must say, I rarely wear those boots but I do live in the south and I do 2 step. Who is to say I don't do it in a fancy skirt or dress. Truthfully, I think people are always wondering. I am from all over so I dress according to my mood and the occasion and whatever fits or is in my closet. I tend to think I am fairly creative with pulling outfits together.

Kelley , Sooz and Ben...Good luck this week. Glad to hear from you three also.
