Cabbage soup diet

Postby morrie74 on Sat Oct 31, 2009 12:38 am

Yes I am getting ready to start the Diet Monday- It is the soup plus vegetables and fruite diet, does anyone know if Advocados would be OK to have it says Raw or cooked Vegetables, and do you know if you can have salt & pepper on your raw vegetables.
Thanks Mo.

Hi Mo; Welcome to the Forum. No Avocados since it is high in fat. I normally Stir-Fry my veggies with a little Soy Sauce. Salt is okay, but watch the quantity since too much can cause you to retain water.
Sorry, I don't feel chatty tonight. I am down with the flu. I am sure one of the other posters will respond also.
Try to google 'negative calorie foods' it will explain a lot, while giving you a choice of acceptable vegetables.

Good luck.

New to diet

Postby erica on Tue Nov 03, 2009 6:50 pm

I am considering starting this diet on Monday and would like to get some feedback from those who have tried it. My goal is to lose 7lbs. I just cannot seem to get the last lbs off even with exercise. Does this "diet" really work for someone who is not extremely overweight? Can you actually reach 10lbs in 7 days? Can you keep it off or is it just water weight? Help!!

Hi Erica,

How tall are you and how much do you weigh? It seems like this diet works for a variety of people. Let us know some more details. What was your diet like previous to starting CSD? Sorry for all the questions but it may give us a better idea as how to answer your question.

I started this diet the last week in July 20009 (165 lbs) and am now 139.8 lbs. I have done this diet fully 3 times since the last week in July. I have manage to keep it off and/or maintain during the non CSD weeks.

HI fatandunhappy; A nice fresh homemade Salsa on its own will be okay. Don't think it's a good idea to add sugar to anything during this time. You want to burn as much fat as possible. When you add the carbs from sugar, your body will need to burn that first before it burn the stored fats, thus defeating the whole purpose of a quick loss.
Hope this helps. Don't vary too much from the diet as it is. It's only 7-days, you will survive without some of the usual calorie laden anti-fat burning culprits.

 Good Luck
