Journey to 19.80 Ibs in a month!!

Postby Ben on Tue Oct 06, 2009 10:43 am

I had tried CSD in the past and it was difficult to go pass day 3 cos of the headaches, low energy level, dull memory and coping with it working 9 hrs a day. I devised a strategy to cope with the diet. Weigh-in Aug 31st 2009, 248.60 Ibs. Sept 01 started CSD up to day four and lost 8 Ibs, and stopped cos of the effects. Ate healthy for 4 days and gained 3 Ibs. I decided to change my strategy.
Started CSD again on Sept 10th with the following modifications.
½ litre of water with lemon every morning to jump start my metabolism 30 mins before breakfast
A fruits for breakfast 7.30am and a cup of green tea
A fruit before my soup and I have my soup 4 times a day (10am, 1pm, 4pm, and 7pm)
At least 3 litres of water everyday
Exercise 4 times a week for at least 30-45 mins per session (Mostly Cardio)
Do CSD for six days (Monday to Saturday) and Sunday my cheat day. I eat all I like to satisfaction and Monday I am back to CSD.
Since I engage in mid level exercises I needed to increase my energy level with fewer calories and to heal my aching muscles after exercise. I decided to add a little protein to my soup to have a fuller feeling so that my body does not have a drought/starving feeling and holds on to fat. At each soup in take, I added either 2 table spoons of Black beans, White beans or fish.
I followed this for three weeks and was shocked when I did my weigh-in on Oct 02nd and went waoooooo seing it at 228.80 Ibs, that is 19.80 Ibs lighter in just one month.
My journey is still long 52.80 Ibsto go to meet my goal. I hope to get this in 14 weeks. This has spurred me more than ever I can't believe it myself. I want to add another day for exercise so my body does not get use to the same routine. I am actually fexible on this regime and as soon as I feel the pounds are slow to come off I'll think of how to jump start again.

Good luck and keep trying
Will keep going till my goal is reached.

Wow! That is fantastic! Good for you.If you find you are plateauing or slowing down in weight loss another plan to try that will take the weight off quickly is called "The Stillman Diet" In the induction phase it is just protein and no fats or carbs, after that induction phase you start adding things.
I lost weight on the CSD in the first week or two and then it totally slowed down for me and well as it was too deprivinf for me to follow. On the stillman diet I seem to lose a bit more. Good luck and keep up the good work!

Hey Sooz,

Thanks for the support. I had the chance of looking up the "Stillman Diet" on the internet and I think that is just what I was looking for. I can't wait to finish CSDon the 31st and get on that one. I can see myself reaching my goals sooner than expected :D

Thanks again

Sooz,
I can't wait to give you the feed back. I had fallen in love with the cabbage soup and after doing it a third time lost just 2 lbs  . I guess my metabolism had slumed and plunged into a stall and pateau. I read a lot about the Stillman's diet and decided to give a try. I am on day 4 now with awesome results. This diet has broken the stall and 6.2 lbs gone. I love the protein cos it makes me fuller for longer periods of time. I can have my fish, chicken and meat as I want without restriction :D .
Question for you, how long can I stay on this diet? Do I wait for another plateau to change to CSD.I am really dying to have fruits and Veggies again.

Thanks for your timely intervention :angel1:

Question for Sooz

Postby Ben on Fri Oct 23, 2009 9:56 am

You gave me a good booster and it is working superb :o . I am on Stillman and it's the sweetest thing happening to me :D . I am 13.20 lbs down on the sixth day. I am following it to the letter.
My question is, how long do I have to go on it before switching back to CSD. I miss the veggies and fruits so much or do I have to wait for the stall signal to change.
Please need your expertise again :angel1:

Anuhha,
I have been over zealous reaching my weight goals. Currently I am stalled at 218 lbs. My SW was 248 lbs
CSD for 1 month 19.80 lbs
Stillman down by 14.60 lbs in 9 days.
Guess what? This fast weight loss did cost my health last week. I intended starting the Alternate diet last week but :star: ... I am recovering and eating healthy this week. Will go back on CSD next monday. I have gained about 4.4 lbs from last Tuesday. I guess this is cos of my less water in take and eating normal. I am glad for one thing my appetite is sensibly under controll.
Plan of action next week:
Monday to Sat - CSD,rest sunday and repeat for 5 days.
Take a few days of rest and go on still again for a week.
Take a break with the Alternate day diet. Know what? I am more than inspired to keep going. I just want to take time and rid off the weight at once than doing the on and off stuff. Would prefer the dangling on and off at the maintenance stage.
Cheers

Ben, I like your plan of action. I really believe that we have to plan out our days or the results won't happen. keep up the good work.

Hi Sooz,
I was on the Alternate day diet or the Day Up Day Down diet the other week before I fell ill. It was good though I did it just for 4 days. I have been eating normally for the past one week :banghead: ( Rgular in take ot Carbs,Protein,Fats and oil, fruits veggies.Do you want to hear the aftermath?Yea  5 lbs to me, no qualms. Starting CSD today and will switch to Stillman next week. :hmm: the 5 lbs should say goodbye  and more.

I visited the Minimins.com site and it was great. We are not doing badly here either :) I hope to get more from there and see how to improve on my current diet practice.
