Is Lipton Soup a Must?

Question:

What soup mix is everyone using? Does it matter? I am gonna try this again next week and I want a different taste.

I am in the UK and don't know what Lipton soup is. Could I use cup-a-soup instead? I have loads of Tomatoes cup-a-soups in my cupboard.

As far as the Lipton soup mix, it is a dry onion soup mix. Comes in a box with 3 or 4 envelopes.
It is used for making dips, or adding to roasts, mixing in your hamburgers or meatloaf etc. There are other brands too like Campbell's and store brands too.

Just found this while looking for the picture. You can also make your own version of this.

3/4 cup instant minced onion
1/3 cup beef bouillon powder
4 teaspoons onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed celery seeds
1/4 teaspoon sugar

4 servings, 19 tablespoons, approximately equal to one envelope, so this would be good for 4 batches of soup.
