Cabbage Soup Diet-Not That Tough Actually!

Remembering the days I was on a fruit diet (hard diet to stay on). On the 7th day when preparing salad to accompany the family dinner, I took out mild banana peppers from the fridge...... my mouth started salivating. I managed to put them away and made it through dinner (with me eating fruit). Later that night.....

I was sitting watching a movie when the banana peppers came to mind again, I started salivating again... I ran (not walked to the fridge) I opened the jar, took one smell and it was all over!! I ate 20 small sliced peppers then... decided that some deli meat had to be sampled too (my taste buds were singing)!! I finally finished the delightful moment off with a chocolate covered granola bar !! It was heaven !!

I didn't even feel remorse because my stomach was thanking me (I think it even told me it loved me) and my mind/heart was euphoric.

So , the next day I took another day off and then tried to resume the following day... it was tougher, I ended up taking about a week off.

So here I am doing the Cabbage Soup Diet because the thought of all fruit was just too tough. I looked at this diet thinking wow, to eat that food and be on a diet would be a walk in the park!!

I lost 12 pounds the first week on my fruit diet, gained back 5 during my break (the lasagna was a killer) but have now lost all the regained weight by the second day on this Cabbage Soup Diet.

So, my thought is that as long as you keep trying even if you have moments of weakness, you never failed, just sometimes have setbacks. I may do the Cabbage Soup Diet for 1 week and then do fruit for two days (suffering every moment) just so I'll look forward to the Cabbage Soup Diet again!! At least that's the plan for now and at this point even the banana peppers don't call me from the fridge since I'm actually eating glorious soup and that beautiful baked potato I had last night was heaven (didn't even need the butter)
