Question:
I'm a ballet dancer, and I've
recently torn my Achilles tendon, meaning no exercise AT ALL for
at least 3 weeks. The problem is that I have my final ballet
exam, the highest level you can get to, in a month. In order to
pass this exam you need to be very thin...this would normally
not be as problem, as I could just work out really hard for the
month before, but...not now.
So I'm thinking of trying this diet...Cabbage soup for one week,
healthy meals the next, cabbage soup for another week, and so
on....I can't do cabbage soup for a month, I need energy to
dance!
So my question is....if it's only water weight you lose, will I
gain it all back the next week? I need it to stay off. I'll be
doing minimal exercise, mostly lifting weights, because that's
all my injury will allow. I just need to know if this diet will
work to thin me out for awhile, or just until I go off the diet.

Answers:
With the way you sound like you pay
attention to your eating habits (not going crazy after diet
week) I doubt you would gain anything back. Some folks even
claimed to have continued to lose weight after they departed
from the diet and resumed reasonable eating. Their body was till
shedding weight from the soup diet.
P.S. I've lost 25 pounds and believe me it was not water
weight!! I went from a size 12 to a size 4 (not all the size 4's
fit though.)

Yes I would say so i went on this
diet for 6months I lost over 75lbs I'm sure if it was only water
I would be dead It's a great diet after over 2yrs marinating
I've put on 15lbs and need to kick it in the butt before it gets
out of control so back to my roots here and am on day6 today.
