Is It OK to Cook Veggie with Butter & Replace Skim Milk with Soy Milk?

Question:

I am never been a veggie person, so is it ok if I cook carrots or green beans in a little bit of butter, I have been doing it, can anyone tell me if it is ok.

Another question is tomorrow is banana day for me, I was thinking about the smoothies, but can't stand skim milk, I am not a milk drinker at all. Would it be okay to add vanilla soy milk instead?

Answer:

As you know butter is loaded with fat, and cals. even a little adds up!
I could not stand the veggie thing when I first started, but I learned this fabulous fix! I crave them now!

Add your non starchy veggies to one can chicken broth. Boil. Strain veggies, add BUTTER SPRAY, OR BUTTER BUDS, salt, and pepper to taste! Girl, they never tasted so good!

Adding No fat, or calories!:) To good to be true! If you decide to drink the broth like soup to fill you up, that's fine too. You will be adding 30 cals per cup I believe!

I think it is OK to replace with soy milk if you can match or decrease the carb, calories and fat gram.
