Is anyone a
vegetarian and if so then what do you eat on day 5? I'm thinking
the veggie burgers and some tofu but would like to hear what
others do. I don't eat any fish, chicken, etc. But I do eat eggs.
THANKS!

Make your eggs
anyway you want them!
I found Pace
Salsa has ingredients that are in the soup, not one thing in
this salsa couldn't be added to the soup. So I'm considering
this to be a free food in my little book of cabbage diet
rules!;) I'd make my eggs with this, scrambled W/ onion,
mushrooms, peppers! Yum
I feel as though
if I can have all the soup I want each day I can add some of the
soup ingredients to my food when I need to. That's just me.

I'm a vegetarian too,
and don't eat fish. I haven't actually done the diet yet
but what I'm planning on doing is having veggie ground
round instead.
10-20oz of beef is 568-1136 calories and veggie ground
round is 60calories per 1/3 cup so you can have about
3-6 cups of it (which is LOADS). it will probably work
the same...By

| If the soy-based "ground
round" does indeed work as a substitute for the
recommended flesh foods, I'm thinking that pre-formed
veggie burgers like Boca, Morningstar Farm, etc.
(without rolls, of course) might serve the same purpose
and would more palatable and less hassle than using the
loose ground beef substitute. If protein content is the
issue, though, it must be remembered that legume-based
products by themselves do not supply the same kind of
protein that flesh foods do, unless they're combined
with whole grains, which seem to be no-no's on this
plan. By ovolac |
| You don't need to
combine beans with grains to get a complete protein.
That's an outdated belief. I would think you can
substitute beans also if you like for the beef day, but
whatever substitute you pick, keep it the same all that
day. By tillthen |
