Cabbage Soup: Some questions about it
Listed below are questions about the cabbage soup itself.
| "The more you eat, the more you lose"? Can it be true? Answer: The theory is the
soup has negative calories. The more you eat the more your body
burns. |
| What is Lipton soup, it is a must? Answer: Lipton soup mix is a dry onion soup mix. Comes in a box with 3 or 4 envelopes.
It is used for making dips, or adding to roasts, mixing in your
hamburgers or meatloaf etc. There are other brands too like
Campbell's and store brands too. You can also make your own
version of this. The ingredients are as follow:
- 3/4 cup instant minced onion
- 1/3 cup beef bouillon powder
- 4 teaspoons onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed celery seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
4 servings, 19 tablespoons, approximately equal to one envelope,
so this would be good for 4 batches of soup. |
| How to make the soup more tasty? Answer: Old Bay
seasoning does pretty well. You may also add as much cayenne pepper or hot sauce you want if you like it hot. You can also add other seasonings that are listed in the cabbage diet recipe. You can replace Lipton soup with bouillon cube to get different flavor. Bay leaves, brussel sprouts, chopped spinach and broccoli are also a good idea to make a nice change to the taste. You can also added some soy sauce instead of salt. |
| Can I make the soup without mushrooms? Answer: Yes, you can make
it without the mushrooms. |

What kind or type of mushrooms that I have to use (straw
mushroom, champignon, .....)(mushroom in can or the fresh
mushroom)?
Answer: You can use any kind of mushroom, either fresh or can. |

For vegetable days, do I suppose to eat the vegetable with the soup or just the
water? Answer: The vegetables on day 2 and 3 can be eaten any way and whenever
you want. |
| How many
serving for this soup, per one time making the soup follow the
recipe? Answer: That
depends entirely upon how much you eat. If you eat about 2 big bowls
a day, the soup can last for about 4 days. |
