Today is
day five for me on the cabbage soup diet and I have to say that
I have done very good up to this point. Today is beef and
tomatoes day so I decided to make something special to treat
myself and still stick to the diet.
I am making beanless chili. It tasted as good as it smelled.
Any how what I did to make my
beanless chili:
Ingredients:
1 pound of ground turkey ( I substituted the beef for the ground
turkey cause it has few calories and fat in it and personally I
can't tell the difference in taste.
1 large can of tomatoes juice
2 cans of diced tomatoes
1 packet of Lipton onion soup mix (for flavoring)
1 green onion (chopped finely)
1 bell pepper (chopped finely)
chili powder
a little salt for flavoring and a dash of Mrs. Dash herb and
garlic seasoning.
brought all that to a boil and now am just letting it simmer for
a while to make sure the onions and bell pepper soften up some.
